This red-roofed Andean city is considered Ecuador's most beautiful city. Filled with culture, history, art, architecture, and signature cuisine make it a great tourist spot and a popular retirement location for ex-pats.
Considered one of the most difficult feats of engineering, the locomotive descent/ascent of Nariz del Diablo has exhilarating landscapes. The colonial town of Alausi is also beautiful and worthy of an overnight stay.
